My specialty is non-denominational ceremonies, as there are a great number of interfaith marriages, or simply people coming together from different walks of life, who do not want to incorporate religion in their services. I also welcome those of you who have alternative lifestyles and I joyfully perform Commitment Ceremonies as well as customary weddings.

I was educated by the State of California as a Deputy Commissioner of Civil Marriages, and I am also ordained with the Universal Life Church. I am available to conduct non-denominational marriage ceremonies in all 50 of the United States and in the past year alone, I have joined hundreds of couples in wedded happiness.

One couple, in particular, rises to the surface of my memory. An older pair, they had been living together compatibly for 47 years, never having had the pleasure of planning or experiencing a formal wedding ceremony. Their grandchildren convinced them to marry legally and once they agreed, the ceremony became a dream come true for the entire family. All were deeply touched by its significance, as these two people had lovingly supported each other for nearly a half a century. But none was as touched so deeply as the Groom, who wept throughout the ceremony. "I never thought we would really do this," he said, "and I am so grateful for your warm and thoughtful ceremony. We shall think of you on each of our 'new' anniversaries."
